RJ Balaji, who has been headlining fun-filled movies, left everyone surprised when makers of Run Baby Run announced that the host-turned-actor is playing the lead in the thriller flick helmed by Jiyen Krishnakumar. The movie, which was released in theatres on February 3, opened to mixed response.
It revolves around a young bank employee who encounters a woman who is in trouble. The latter’s unexpected entry in his life leaves him upset for a few reasons and her sudden death puts him in a fix. How he traces her murderer and finds some unbelievable truths related to a leading educational institution form the rest of the story.
Sam CS’s impressive background score which elevates some of the complex sequences and S Yuva’s pleasing visuals are highlights of the film which has editing by G Madan and art direction by Veeramani Ganesan. R Sakthi Saravanan has choreographed action scenes for the movie which has sound designing handled by Arun S Mani.
Vivek Prasanna, Joe Malloori and Hareesh Peradi among others play key roles in the project which has Radhika Sarathkumar and Isha Talwar essaying cameo roles.
Run Baby Run will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on March 10; an official announcement has been made by makers now. The team had informed earlier that Hotstar had bagged its post theatrical digital rights. The film marked the first outing for Balaji and Aishwarya this year.
S Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures has produced the film which marked the Tamil debut of Mollywood filmmaker Jiyen Krishnakumar.
